TOP ACHIEVEMENTS OF THE DEPARTMENT

UNIVERSITY RANKS
Students are consistently getting UNIVERSITY RANKS since the inception of the Department in 1997.

PLACEMENT
More than 95% of the eligible students are getting placed every year in various Core companies and IT companies.

TRAINING PROGRAMS
The Department has organized a summer Vacation Training program on various skill developments (9 courses) from 10-14 June 2013. Totally 103 students from various Universities and Institutions like NIT, Raipur, NIT, Trichy, Shastra University, VIT, and many other colleges participated in single course and 26 students participated in two courses.

ANNA UNIVERSITY sponsored Training Programme on "RF and Microwave Engineering" was organized by the Department from 05.06.2013 to 11.06.2013.

ISTE-SRM sponsored short term training programme "Theory and Design of RF Communication Links" was organized by the Department from 03.06.2013 to 9.06.2013.

Dr. N. Gunasekaran, Course Coordinator has received Rs. 1 Lakh from ISTE, New Delhi for the FDP organized titled 'Theory and Design of RF Communication Links' & Rs.80,000/- from Anna University, Chennai for the FDP organized titled 'EC2403-RF & Microwave Engineering' on 13.12.2013.

INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE

Dr. Sujatha L, Mr. Siddhartha Goutham M, Mr. Saravanan M, Mr. Selvakumar V.S. have attended and presented a paper titled 'Electrical, Thermal and Mechanical Behavior of Normally Opened Silicon Micro Tweezers' in the International conference ICMAT held from 30.6.2013 to 5.7.2013 at Suntec, SINGAPORE.
International conference on EDGE – Engineering Digital Green Era EDGE 2016 was jointly organized by CSE, ECE and IT departments of REC and RIT in association with IET, IEEE, ACM chapter, ISTE and Computer Society of India on 17 – 19 March 2016 at Rajalakshmi Engineering College. Authors from both India and Overseas were invited to submit original unpublished manuscripts that demonstrates current research, innovation and practice in 11 different areas of Digital Green Era. Several 100s of papers were submitted and selected papers were published in Scopus Indexed journals.
