From learning AI concepts to applying them in Germany. 🌍🤖 Seven REC students from diverse engineering disciplines recently completed the Cybersol Global Immersion & Internship Program at FH Aachen University of Applied Sciences, Germany, taking their learning beyond the classroom and onto a global stage. The journey began with a virtual preparatory phase, where students built strong foundations in Artificial Intelligence, Python, search algorithms, reinforcement learning, and neural networks. They then travelled to Germany for an immersive onsite experience featuring hands-on AI implementation, expert-led sessions, robotics and Industry 4.0 exposure, and engaging interactions with international researchers and entrepreneurs. What began as an idea at the REC AICTE IDEA Lab took our students all the way to Nancy, France, where they represented Rajalakshmi Engineering College at the IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement Society Student Project Contest 2026. Selected among the Top 10 projects from over 3,500 submissions worldwide, Team ATLAS went on to secure Third Place, bringing home international recognition, a $5,000 USD travel grant, and a $1,000 USD cash prize.
