PROGRAMME EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES (PEOs):
Enable the students:
- To develop an aptitude to use engineering principles to conceptualize, create, model, test and evaluate designs within the context of local and global needs
- To become effective and excellent collaborators and innovators, participating in efforts to address and provide solutions to social and technical challenges.
- To develop innovative technologies and find solutions to contemporary issues in Engineering Design using fundamental principles in combination with modern engineering tools and methods.
- To pursue advanced education, research and development and other creative/ innovative efforts in their professional career.
PROGRAMME EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES (PEOs):
On successful completion of the Engineering Design programme,
- Graduates will demonstrate knowledge of mathematics, science and engineering.
- Graduates will have an ability to identify, formulate and solve engineering design problems by using computer-aided tools.
- Graduate will have an ability to conduct experiments, analyze and interpret data in the area of design engineering though software.
- Graduates will have an ability to design a system, component or process as per needs and specifications.
- Graduate will demonstrate skills to use modern engineering tools, software and equipment to analyze multidisciplinary problems.
- Graduates will demonstrate knowledge of professional and ethical responsibilities in the field of mechanical design.
- Graduate will communicate their technical knowledge.
- Graduate will be able to comprehend the impact of engineering solutions on the society and also will be able to face the contemporary issues.
- Graduate will continue professional development and learning as a life-long activity.
PROGRAMME SPECIFIC OUTCOMES (PSOs):
- Provide optimized solution to problems during design phase of product using advanced CAD /CAE / FEA tools and mathematical models.
- Identify the space of work in different areas of research including inter disciplinary fields and provide innovative solutions using the design paradigms.
- Become a successful professional with his/her acquired creative design skills and knowledge through which they would provide impetus to develop solutions that would lead to next generation technologies
