The School of Architecture’s innovative pedagogy introduces integrated project delivery methods and democratic decision-making processes, while simultaneously developing critical thinking skills to prepare the next generation of architects and urban designers.

HISTORY:

Rajalakshmi School of Architecture (RSA) was established in the year 2010 under the aegis of Rajalakshmi Educational Trust whose members have had consummate experience in the fields of Education and Industry.  Affiliated to the Anna University, RSA follows a well established curriculum and syllabus that is constantly evolving based on current needs and recent architectural, cultural, social and technological developments.


VISION:

To provide a quality education that strongly contributes towards the development of responsible, educated, and creative Architects who are fully equipped to create a better-built environment through unique and effective architectural, planning, and design solutions.

The Vision of Rajalakshmi School of Architecture derives from the definition of Sustainable Development – environmental, economic, and cultural development over generations. 

Our Goals for the next 10-15 years in terms of U.G. Courses  :

  • To provide the best quality of architectural education in the region 

  • Regular interaction with industry and architecture professional bodies like IIA to make our students socially and technologically proficient professionals. 

  • Emphasis on ‘Green technologies’ and eco-friendly ways of developing the built environment 

  • Focus on urban regions, the engines of economic development 

  • Highlight cultural overtures of architecture and its role in defining the grammar of the built environment 

  • To provide proper exposure to students about new materials and recent technologies. 

  • To encourage more architectural research activities in the coming decades
