About us
CEMV-REC
Centre of Excellence in Machine Vision at Rajalakshmi Engineering College is established with seed funding from TIFAC-CORE, Department of Science and Technology, NEW DELHI. The centre has been providing solutions for automated QC in Manufacturing production lines. Several solutions have been implemented for Industries such as automotive, Pharmaceutical, Electronics and Packaging. The centre provides consultancy services, turn-key solutions, Courses for academicians and corporate executives as well as in house training for budding engineers.
Design and Development
CEMV assess the requirement of vision inspection at the client premises. Based on these requirement, the CEMV engineers identify suitable MV components – camera, light ,lens and automation system. Proof of concept is developed by the engineers to show case the feasibility of MV inspection. Based on this, a system set up is suggested. Once, the proposal is accepted, the system is built as per the clients requirement and deployed at the customer end.
Installation and Commissioning
CEMV Engineers take responsibility for the installation and commissioning of our systems at customers’ premises. Any integration -both software and automation - with the existing set up is completed at the premises. All installations are subjected to client acceptance and integration in the production set up. Any safety requirements as well as industry sector specifics requirements can be met for Pharma and electronic industries.
Software
CEMV develops software at two levels: Application level and Operator/User level.
Software is at the core of machine vision inspection systems. User Interfaces are required at Operator level and systems must reliably integrate and communicate with associated automation such as robots, PLCs, Manufacturing execution systems and Middleware. Requirements such as creating database for inspection is also undertaken.
