The Untold Story

This event ”The Untold Story” was initiated by the rural initiatives vertical of the Yi Chennai chapter in the motive of creating a better life for all the transgender people out there in the society and also creating awareness about the trans community. The event was felicitated by Mr. Tarun Kumar, Rural Initiatives Chair, Yi Chennai. The welcome address was delivered by Mr. Pratheep, Yi Chennai Chair. Later, the guest of honor Dr. Subashini, Dean of Madras School of Social Work shared a few words about the event and talked about her journey with the trans community. Next, the Chief Guest M.Sri Lisha Stebila Theras, DSP (State Cyber Command Centre) who has won the DG Sword for overall best performer, shared her thoughts about empowerment and self respect. It was quite an interactive session. Later, Ms.Sapna Dev Raman, AVP in a big forum explained about Financial Literacy. Finally, the achievers and star performers of the trans community shared their experiences, the star performers were:
1. V. Kanmani (Advocate of High Court of Madras)
2. Preethisha (Theater Artist)
3. Swetha Sudhakar. C(Founder of Born to Win)
Finally the event concluded with the vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Tarun Kumar, Rural Initiatives Chair, Yi Chennai.
