Rajalakshmi College of Nursing, established in 2008 is approved by Government of Tamil Nadu and affiliated to "The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University", Chennai and has been recognized by the Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi and by Tamil Nadu Nurses and Midwives Council, Chennai.

To be a premier college of nursing offering excellence in quality of nursing education to empower a diverse population of nurse leaders by promoting research activities which will transform our health care systems and create morally upright, emotionally balanced and socially committed health care professionals.

The mission of Rajalakshmi College of Nursing is to create, empowered, committed, compassionate and skilful healthcare providers who make a difference in building a healthy family, community and nation.

In a country where education is held in very high esteem and the teacher equated to God, We, at Rajalakshmi College of Nursing have dedicated ourselves to impart education and also develop the student to be a responsible nurse.
Students of Rajalakshmi College of Nursing are groomed carefully and the virtues of hard work, discipline and ethical practices in profession are imbibed in them.
Campus life here stresses the importance of extra academic activities apart from academic learning, leading them to many new avenues. All these go a long way in making our student a thoroughbred professional, and using of clinical judgment in the provision of care to enable people to improve, maintain, or recover health, to cope with health problem, and to achieve the best possible quality of life.
Chairperson's Message
Academic excellence has become a way of life with all of us at Rajalakshmi College of Nursing (RCN). RCN, through its pioneering efforts, aims to create leaders in the nursing profession by providing unique, innovative programmes that are responsive to the market need, keeping in mind the rapid advances in the health-care sector in India as well as overseas.
Florence Nightingale established the Nightingale Nursing School as the first ever Nursing entity in 1860. Since then it has spread all over the world and technology has been stepping in, taking it through several wheels of change so that ‘Traditional Nursing’ has transitioned to ‘Hi-tech Nursing’. I am confident that RCN will create a benchmark in nursing education at international level in terms of quality of education and service provided.
